A dual pairs individually shielded interconnect for balanced or single-ended applications. Featuring low capacitance and efficient noise rejection, maintaining signal integrity also for longer cables often required for e.g. subwoofer links.
Suggested applications; y-links from AV amplifiers with single LFE output where sub-woofer features two ("stereo") inputs primarily intended for pre-out (left and right channel) or equipped with a single stereo Supra MP-8 mini plug from e.g. computer or MP3 to an amplifier's analogue input.
Suitable connectors; Supra RCA-6, MP and PPX.
Warning: Y-link cabel connection must not be utilized to put stereo (two) channels together into one. Doing so, may severly damage/destroy the connected devices.
N.B. When dividing one channel output, e.g. LFE pre-put, into two inputs, increases the current load on the pre-out amplification circuitry. In some very rare cases, the pre-outputs are not capable to drive this resulting extra load and may be over-heated/damaged. Refer to the device user's guide, retailer or the manufacturer for additional information.
An ultra-fast interconnect featuring very low capacitance and highly effecient shielding. Supra DAC's di-electric of PE foam, containing a minimum of solid PE plastic, but instead the best possible di-electric easily available - air - which exhibits only 45 pF/m. Further it is shielded with our highly efficient and mechanically durable semi-conductive Carbon-filled Nylon.
The Supra DAC high frequency properties are exceptional, thanks to its low capacitance, hence high speed transient response. The velocity factor is as high as 78% of the speed of light, promoting raise and fall time of digital square wave. In the analogue domain the speed means timing/phase preservation between high and low frequency waves giving virtually no frequency roll-off, maintained 3D sound stage and rapid transients. With the by others often used PTFE/Teflon the velocity factor would have been only 71%.
Application examples are mid- to high-end analogue interconnect equipped with Supra RCA or XLR connectors. High bandwidth digital interconnects such as AES/EBU professional standard. Available in both Ice Blue color and Anthracite Grey.
An entry level two channel (stereo) interconnect cable for balanced or single-end applications, still providing the Supra signature properties of lower capacitance, efficient shielding, timing and transient response. In spite of its highly favourable price tag, it has earned rewards for the good musical properties and is the given choice for replacing the attached interconnects following entry level hi-fi equipment. It will result in a significant sound improvement clearly audible by anyone.
Application examples are interconnection of analogue devices, either by RCA or balanced XLR connectors, e.g. between CD, pre-amp and power amplifier. Suitable connectors are Supra RCA-6, RCA-CS and Swift XLR.
An unimpeded transmission of even the finest details, at exactly the right moment, is the goal of all cable design. A traditionally designed cable can, however, not achieve sufficient transmission quality. A good interconnect is the result of having addressed the majority of malignant properties in an alternating current circuit. There are a number of ways to do this, where our area of expertis; passive benign cable design is the far most complex. We have to physically layout the leads in a manner that counteracts the resulting physical behaviour of a conductor leading an infinite number of sine waves at an infinite number of levels, while carefully choose proper materials in leads, shields and di-electric.
The skin-effect has a dynamic and clearly audible influence. If we were to transfer just one frequency, the skin-effect would not be any problem. But due to the physical laws, the higher the frequency is, the further out from the conductor center the signal will travel, facing far less crossection conductive area, hence suffering from higher resulting impedance. The end-result will be altered frequency levels and timing compared to the original music signal, thus leaving the reproduction far from transparent.
Now, in order to minimize the skin-effect, we designed this cable in accordance to the Equalized Frequency Flow (EFF) concept. This means that we cancelled the conductor center by spinning the lead strands on a plastic core, forming a tube shaped conductor with a wall thickness of 0.20 mm, well within the limits of the audible range because of the skin-effect. In addition we have silver plated the strands for two reasons, minimise impedance for the really high frequencies, who strive to flow on the strand surface and to minimize phase shifting diode effect for high frequency electron jumps between the strands due to the superior silver conductivity. This forces equal impedance for all frequencies, hence minimal and equal influence on all frequency levels and phase resulting in a non-impact transmission of the music between hi-fi devices. The level of all parts of the music will sound as intended and the tiny and delicate differencies in the recording sound stage room information will be maintained.
EFF-I is one of Supra's most awarded products, for numerous very good reasons ...
Suitable for analogue tranmissions both balanced and single-end in mid- to high-end hi-fi applications. Available in a number of standard lengths, as well as custom built. Suitable connectors are Supra PPSL, PPX and the balanced Supra Swift XLR.
Supra SubLink is suitable as a single channel interconnect such as AV-receiver LFE out to sub-woofer LFE input, or as a pair of stereo interconnects. Low capacitance and efficient shielding provides for long cable routing such as e.g. sub-woofers. The cable is possible to connect as single-end or balanced with any of our suitable connectors as follows; PPX, RCA-6 or XLR. An excellent entry level cabel for the consious hi-fi listener how will not satisfy with the sub-standard interconnects usually enclosed with entry level hifi eguipment. We believe it will be the starting point of exploring the positive impact of Supra's interconnects, which will allow any hi-fi device to reach its full potential.
Simply, our best digital cable with extraordinary bandwidth. Designed according to Supra signature feature of lowest possible capacitance, especially for transmission of binary code. The damping factor is only 0.6 dB per 100 meter cable length! Thanks to its genuine 75 ohm impedance it is spot-on the specifications for the S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface) standard. This is crucial for not adding jitter to the binary signal, which ruins the music signal quality. Impedance related jitter is one of the largest reasons why there is such a great variation of sound from digital cables and also why Supra Trico is so highly appreciated.
The di-electric (insulation) consist of a thick layer of PE foam (air-injected PE plastic foam) which provides for 58 pF/m capacitance, allowing the digital square wave to transmit the full signal without any deformation. The velocity factor is a staggering 0.78 x the light speed contributing to the binary square wave build-up with virtually no delay. These two properties combined provides for the binary code to arrive being easily interpreted, while some competitors distort the pulses making them much harder to distinguish as a distinct “1” or a “0”.
The center lead is silver plated oxygen-free copper and thanks to the silver's superior conductivity, Trico protects the ultra high frequencies from high impedance damping. Also the signal return lead, in the form of a braid shield, is silver plated. An additional outer shield of oxygen-free copper is topping Trico's high noise rejection and contributing to its top signal integrity.
Suitable usage areas; e.g. composite video, RGB-video (separate video channels), S/PDIF and as an antenna cable suitable for long cable runs such as distribution of central TV in apartment houses.
