SUPRA EFF-ISL Stereo RCA Cable Pair
One of the unique characteristics of these cables is the way they handle sound. They are very transparent and you get all the details without any impact in the sound you hear. Many other cables have a tendency to make the sound darker or lighter, but here your get all natural sound in the whole frequency range.
The Supra EFF-ISL and EFF -IXLR are Supras bestsellers when it comes to high end signal cables. EFF stands for "Equalized Frequency Flow technique". The ISL/IXLR is how the cables are terminated - RCA or XLR plugs.
Only the XL Annorum and the mighty Supra Sword Range cables are better than this one in Supras Analogue line-up.
EFF-ISL - Analogue interconnect.
The Supra EFF-ISL are equipped with our best fully shielded single-end connectors Supra PPSL. The connector features chuck locking strain relief to the chassis female RCA, hence securing seamless connection and a chuck lock cable strain relief providing long service life even in applications with frequent reconnections.
Suitable for use in every single-end application from entry to mid-end level, where dynamics, timing and faithful music reproduction is desired.
EFF-ISL - Our Multi-Test Winner
Flawless signal transfer of even the most subtle music details is always the goal. A traditional cable, e.g. included interconnects with the hardware or the supermarket "high-end", simply cannot reach the level of desired refinement an audiophile expect. There are electric properties that needs to be addressed prior to reaching the goal; capacitance, phase, skin-effect and shielding. The purity of conductors, dielectric choice, plating quality is generally sub-standard even though they might appear high-end.
The skin-effect is the physical event forcing higher frequency signals flow closer to the conductor surface. This means that low and high frequency impedance are not equal and therefor affects the signal level and phase. It has a profound dynamic and clearly audible influence because an audio signal is in principle nothing but an infinite number of frequencies at an infinite number of levels.
In order to minimize the skin-effect, the EFF-I is designed according to our Equalized Frequency Flow (EFF) technique. Around a plastic core, the strands are wound forming a conductor tube, in turn forcing all frequencies through the same cross section area well tuned for the entire audible range. The result is a maintained frequency response as from the source without any level changes like treble roll-off or phase shift. Further the strands are silver plated to provide for ultra-high frequencies and are insulated using PE, providing the lowest capacitance. Finally there must not enter any RFI destroying all efforts to maintain original signal integrity and our aluminized PET foil is a high bandwidth efficient shield keeping noise outside.
EFF-ISL is one of Supra´s most awarded products, not without good reason...

After been impressed with the Supra XL Annorum RCA analogue interconnect when used on a fairly serious CD Player I decided to upgrade the cables coming from my TV which seemed a bit dull sounding. I like watching the occasional DVD/Blu-Ray fed into the TV by a HDMI cable.
This is older gear needing 3m of cable which I felt warranted a less expensive but yet decent interconnect.
As it turns out my choice of the EFF cable was a great decision. A DVD of "Jarre Concert in China" 2004 mastered to very high audio quality yielded an amazing playback. This was live music played in "Forbidden City" in Beijing and broadcasted right through China at the same time.
The backwash of the sound reflections from the amazing architecture there came through showing lovely depth and width for that matter. All musical instruments and vocals came through perfectly and the Chinese Erhu violin was quite haunting.
I do indeed recommend this cable. Supra interconnect has come through a second time.
Better quality than previous cable from reputable band. Clean definition. Highs pronounced but not offensive. Realistic mid range. Bass tight.
